Multimedia Pages & Posters

BrainyBox

ClassTools

A new (beta) tool offered from ClassTools. It is a more advanced version of Cube Creator & easier to use than Museum Box. Students add content to each side of the cube (text, video, images, links). A great way for students to collect artifacts over a topic, creating different scenes for a story, detailing events over a historical figure. The ideas are endless.

Fakebook

ClassTools

Creating a fake Facebook profile for a character in a book or of a famous person in history would be a creative & fun way to get students interested in writing. Students can add & upload images, write wall posts, create "likes", comments & conversations on fake posts, & even create a friends list. Students can create walls for a historical figure, literacy characters, but you can also think outside the box, & have the students create walls for elements off the Periodic Table, animals, or mathematical properties. See a Fakebook Gallery of completed walls for inspiration.

Glogster EDU

A complete educational solution for digital & mobile teaching & learning for students of all ages. A powerful tool for students to use to create online collages that they can share with their friends & classmates. If you're not familiar with Glogster, it can best be described as an online poster creation tool with audio & video. Teachers can register for a free account to create private Glogs. Free teacher accounts do not offer any student management features, but students can register with a teacher code as all teacher accounts come with codes. Glogster EDU is free. It is easy to upload text, documents, video clips, audio files, & images. You can also upload videos from SchoolTube, TeacherTube, or YouTube. If students publish any Glogs, they can be set as either private (which is recommended) or public. It is important to remember this website is high graphic, so students need to be patience when uploading images, & to save their work frequently. Glogster can be used in any number of content areas. Students can create collages about famous figures, to create book reports, or character portrayals. As a teacher you can use it for a way to present information to your students or as an interactive learning center.

Trading Card

BigHugeLabs

A fun photo-editing site, but the Trading Card creator is great for the classroom. Students can add pictures, color, titles, descriptions, & symbols. A great way to make vocabulary or classification cards.

Zoom.it

Display & zoom in on details in large images, & then embed in your blog, wikis, or website. Zoom.it creates a display of your images in a format that allows you to zoom in, zoom out, & scroll around a large image. To use Zoom.it you need to provide the website with a link to an image on the web, which means the URLs can be images, web pages, or PDF files. Once you create a zoomable image, just copy the URL provided & share your image by giving people the direct link to it or by embedding the image into your blog or website.
